He added that "these stations will be equipped with the latest types of boats with large capacity to transport citizens and goods in addition to attracting boats Marsh people," pointing out that "the company is keen to regularize work and facilitate the things of tourists, especially in the current summer, which is high demand on the areas of the Marshlands."

Kanhal pointed out that "his company is seeking to expand a number of river taxi stations in the central and southern provinces after the completion of six new stations in the capital Baghdad," explaining that "the existence of a number of obstacles facing the lines of the river taxi, such as dams and bridges floating on rivers as well as lack of financial allocations Which prompted the company to rely on the joint operating system with the private sector. "

The General Company for Maritime Transport has recently opened a river taxi project in the province of Najaf in an effort to make the river taxi lines include all the coasts of the Middle Euphrates and extend the new line in Najaf as a first step from the beginning of the Kufa Corniche to Imam Ali bridge. Kufa to Kifl and then Karbala and vice versa.
