The interior minister is forming committees with Saudi Arabia to secure borders and combat drugs
During his visit to Saudi Arabia, Interior Minister Qassem al-Araji formed specialized committees with Saudi Arabia's Interior Ministry to secure borders and combat drugs.

"Interior Minister Qassem al-Araji and his accompanying delegation continued their meetings late at night," the minister's adviser, Wahab al-Tai, said in a statement received by al-Ghad Press.

He added that "specialized committees were formed by the leaders of the Ministry of Interior in the two countries (Saudi Arabia and Iraq), including the exchange of intelligence, counter-terrorism, border security, drug control, development of civil defense capabilities and facilitating visas for Iraqis."

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said earlier today that His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of the Interior, received in Jeddah today Iraqi Interior Minister Qassim Mohammad Al-Araji and his accompanying delegation. Discuss a number of topics of common interest.

A source familiar with the situation said Monday that Interior Minister Qassem al-Araji had traveled to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of his Saudi counterpart.
