Iraq asks the Netherlands to open an air route between Baghdad and Amsterdam

Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim Jaafari on Monday called on the Dutch government to open an air link between Baghdad and Amsterdam.
This came during the receipt of a copy of the credentials of the new Ambassador of the Netherlands to Iraq, Mr. Matais Voltres, during the meeting reviewed the bilateral relations between Baghdad and Amsterdam, and ways to support them and to promote common interests and face common dangers between the two countries.
Al-Jaafari said that Iraq will begin the construction and reconstruction of Iraqi cities and looks forward to supporting friendly countries in the reconstruction of infrastructure and investment in many fields. He called for opening an air route between Baghdad and Amsterdam, which has a great impact on opening new horizons for cooperation.
For his part, the new ambassador to Baghdad said that we seek to open new horizons in energy, agriculture and water resources. The Netherlands will host a special conference on water in the coming months. We expect Iraq’s participation in the conference to be very important for Iraq to benefit from the Dutch experience in this field.
