Iraq looks forward to world efforts in reconstructing liberated areas

Dr. Majid Al-Soori, the Iraqi economic expert, expected that there will be an international contribution to reconstructing the liberated areas from ISIS' grip.

In a statement, he said that all the neighboring countries and the world should help Iraq to rebuild Mosul city and other liberated areas as Iraq repelled ISIS terrorists attacks, and sacrificed so many lives of its people.

He added that the World Bank provided a loan worth $ 650 million which shall be repaid within five years. It shall be used to tackle shortage of water, electricity, health, roads, and bridges.

Also, Deutsche Bank provided a loan worth 550 million euros.

Yet Kuwait offered a grant worth $100 million that will be dedicated to the health sector, he added.

He confirmed that several parties offered to hold the Donor's conference by mid year under auspices of Iraq to gather grants to rebuild the areas hit by terrorism.

Money has been allocated Iraqi budget to rebuild vital facilities as water, electricity, and provide essential needs.
