Khazali criticizes Sunni figures' conference in Baghdad

Head of Asaib Ahl Al-Haq militia Qais al-Khazali on Tuesday criticized the conference held by about 600 Sunni figures in Baghdad on Monday.

Khazali claimed that the conference is an attempt to exploit the situation and the souls of the martyrs who sacrificed themselves in the fight against ISIS terrorist group.

Time is not ripe for such conferences as displaced civilians are still in camps and the bloodshed is still running, he added.

Khazali also slammed demands of dissolving the Shiite militias in Iraq ans Syria (IMIS), noting that it became an official institution after the law passed by Iraqi Parliament to legalize its presence.

He also vowed to remove concerns about any potential violations that would be committed by the terrorist outfit IMIS.

IMIS, which one of its offshoots is Asaib Ahl Al-Haq militia, is a Shiite militia backed by Iran regime. It is assigned to carry out Iran plots in Iraq, foremost of them is enforcing demographic changes in the Sunni regions under the guise of fighting ISIS.
