Tribal leader's murderers to be brought to justice - FM spokesman


Perpetrators of the crime will be arrested and brought to justice, Ahmed Jamal, the spokesman of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in a statement on Monday.

Jamal's statement is related to kidnapping and brutally killing of a tribal leader by a gang in al-Mashhad city in Iran.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Friday that it follows up through its embassy in Tehran the investigation of the crime.

The ministry noted that it is investigating one of those suspected of committing this crime.

Aboud al-Issawi, head of tribes committee in the Iraqi Parliament, has announced that Nema Hadi al-Issawi was killed by a gang of unknown men from al-Mashhad city in Iran without mentioning the motives behind the crime.

Issawi, leader of Albu Issa tribe in Karbala, was taken to mountains, head of tribes committee said.

He added that Issawi was stolen and killed then his body was burned and thrown from top of a mountain.
