Iraqi MP Hanan al-Fatlawi has been appointed Director General in the Iraqi Cabinet on October 9, 2008 so that she could receive a plot of land in Baghdad in November 6, 2008, a classified document from the cabinet obtained by The Baghdad Post, revealed on Monday

The document shows that al-Fatlawi was appointed director general without holding an executive office as she was placed as a member of an advisors' panel

She held this post so that she could receive a plot of land allocated only for director generals in the Iraqi cabinet at that time

This move was taken under Nouri al-Maliki's government which reveals favoritism, corruption and bribery were spreading in the country while Maliki was holding the post of prime minister

In June, thousands of protesters in Salahuddin governorate called for former Prime Minister Nouri al-maliki to be trialed as he is responsible for the death of over 1700 cadets three years ago in Speicher camp

Committing crimes and corruption were not the only accusations filed against Maliki

The parliamentary legal committee requested in June the attorney general to reopen the issue of Mosul's fall in ISIS' grip, a move that will lead to the trial of Iraqi officials, including the former prime minister (clap) https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/en/sto...i-s-government Nuri al-Maliki
