Oil prices recouped some of its losses on Monday after falling three percent in the previous session, but the markets are still under pressure from high drilling activity in the United States and the abundance of supplies from OPEC producers.
At 0633 GMT, futures rose to global crude measurement Brent 22 cents, equivalent to 0.47 percent from the previous close to $ 46.93 a barrel.
US crude futures recorded WTI 44.42 dollars a barrel, up 18 cents or 0.43 percent.
Traders said higher prices are due to snap up buying opportunities after a sharp drop on Friday, but added that the market is still generally weak.
