"In accordance with the directives of the leader of the Sadrist movement Moqtada al-Sadr, joint committees were set up with the Peace Brigades to retrieve the usurped lands seized in Baghdad by the weak souls, using the name and address of al-Sadr," a statement from Sadr's office said.

He added that "the committees included a member of the jihadi organization of Saraya peace Amran al-Mayahi and commander of the first division of the Saraya in Baghdad / Rusafa, and some service institutions of the capital and the secretariat and the province of Baghdad, and the police chief of the province and the Sunni and Shiite waqfs and Chairman of the Committee on Security and Defense parliamentary.

The statement pointed out that "the committees are working on direct field visits to the areas of Baghdad to find out the land that was seized and work to return to the rightful owners."

He said that "the committees and as a first step conducted a field tour in the areas of the martyrs of Obeidi, near the gas station and the surrounding territories and Obeidi and municipalities and the area of ​​public security," noting "while this gesture was launched by the Sadr great satisfaction by the citizens of Baghdad."
