Former Governor Nujaifi calls to proclaim state of emergency in Mosul
Atheel al-Nujaifi, the former governor of Nineveh Governorate, called for declaring a state of emergency in Mosul city to facilitate the mission of the Iraqi forces in administering the affairs of the city after retaking it according to a Facebook post written on his page on Thursday.

The Iraqi government should take measures to revitalize the economy in Mosul city and find solutions to the most dangerous crimes that threaten the security of the society he added.

Also, The Iraqi Presidency and Prime ministry should establish a reliable basis for sustainable development as developing Mosul city after the years of fighting needs to allocate funds and facilitate the work of the civil society organizations

It is worth mentioning that security forces, backed by International Coalition air raids and logistic support of the US army, have retaken eastern Mosul and most of its western part after nine months of battles These forces are focusing now on controlling the Old City

On June 29th, the Iraqi forces declared Mosul has become totally free of ISIS terrorists
