Federal police recapture Bab al-Saray district in Mosul's right bank

Iraqi Federal Police Forces have recaptured Belal al-Habshi Mosque in Bab Jadid district in Mosul's right bank, war media cell said in a statement on Monday.

The forces also liberated Bab al-Saray district, al-Abyad Mosque, the statement read, noting that dozens of ISIS terrorists were killed in the operation.


The statement added that the forces seized three explosive belts, missile launcher PKS arms, and 20 containers of arms.

This comes as part of a wide-scale military operation launched by US-backed Iraqi forces to oust ISIS terrorists from Mosul city, their last major stronghold.
