Sadrists Movement quits National Alliance for declining reforms

Sadrist Movement denied the existence of any political deals between Iraqi Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jabouri and Muqtada al-Sadr to facilitate ministers sacking in Parliament.

This comes as Sadrist Movement political committee announced earlier that the movement agreed to form a united parliamentary bloc with the Former Prime Minister Ayad Allawi's National Coalition bloc.

Sadrist Movement quitted the National Alliance after their refusal to apply Muqtada al-Sadr's reforms plan, MP from the Sadrist Movement Abd al-Azziz al-Zalimi said.

He asserted that rapprochement between National Coalition bloc and Sadrist Movement came for having common goals to apply reforms in Iraq.

Sadrist Movement Political committee also revealed that this union was formed to accelerate the formation of new critical law and to form possible solutions for Iraq's problems.

The two sides agreed to form this alliance to solve Iraq's problems in the post-ISIS era, the committee added.

This comes after Iraqi Vice President Ayad Allawi received a message from Sadrist Movement leader Muqtada al-Sadr in May that included plans for the next general election and post-ISIS era.
