Ninewa police chief: Mosul is safe and the news is spreading rumors

Ninewa police chief Brigadier Wathiq al-Hamdani said on Thursday that the city of Mosul, especially the left side, is calm and safe, indicating that a supporter is spreading rumors about the deteriorating security situation on the left.

Al-Hamdani told Al-Ghad Press that "Al-Dawash is trying to spread false rumors about bombings on the left," pointing out that it is "baseless."

"The police and the rest of the other bodies are on the street and control the situation."
