Iraq suffers from a high unemployment rate among both graduates and undergraduates. Many economists believe that those tallies do not reflect the reality.

Unemployment rate in Iraq is expected to be 17.40 percent by the end of this quarter, according analysts' expectations.

In the long-term, the Iraq Unemployment rate is projected to trend around 16.50 percent in 2020, according to our econometric models.

Moreover, the Iraqi people face a severe housing crisis due to an increase in population, compared to the number of residential complexes. Low-income citizens cannot afford to buy their own houses due to the high prices of land plots and building material.

According to observers, many cities in Baghdad see an apparent deterioration in the services' quality, although bulk funds are allocated for this purpose.
