A source at the Ministry of Water Resources said on Friday that the Ministry of Health ignored two water resources on the World Heritage Sites files, prompting the ministry to inform the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers that health and environment are not interacting with them.

The source told Al-Ghad Press that "the Ministry of Water Resources, the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, reported that the Ministry of Health and the Environment did not interact with the request of the Iraqi Marshlands and Wetlands Center to provide them with the Shape File of the World Heritage Sites."

"The Ministry of Health and the Environment has ignored two formal appeals from the Marshlands and Land Reclamation Center of the Ministry for providing us with the World Heritage Site files, which were prepared as part of the Southern Iraq Marshlands Registration Project," the source added.

The source pointed out that "the Ministry of Water Resources confirmed to the Ministry of Health and the Environment, the need to deliver the required documents as soon as possible, through repeated telephone calls and ongoing reviews by employees of the ministry, without any answer, although our ministry prepared maps of heritage sites Global, using the coordinates listed in the listing document, with the Ministry logo on maps.

The source pointed out that "the Ministry of Water Resources, through the Iraqi Marshlands and Wetlands Rehabilitation Center, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and the Environment, reviewed the areas for final approval and after review of all the final areas of the four natural sites of the World Heritage property, Concerned ".
