US Stocks rise as oil prices recover

NEW YORK (Reuters) - US stocks rose in early trade on Monday as technology shares and oil prices rallied from a seven-month low last week.

The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was up 59.79 points, or 0.28 percent, at 21,454.55.
The Standard & Poor's 500 index gained 7.35 points, or 0.30 percent, to 2445.65. The Nasdaq Composite Index gained 27.02 points, or 0.43 percent, to close at 6,292.27.
