The Iraqi market for securities traded more than one billion shares

The index of the Iraqi market for securities traded more than one billion shares during the session on Tuesday, while topped four banks and one company in the volume of trading value.

"The Iraqi market for securities traded today for a volume of 1,046,465,864 shares at a value of 758,109,482 dinars, while closing the price index ISX 60 in today's session (on the day), the executive director of the market Taha Ahmed Abdul Salam said in a press statement received" (578.66) points down by (1.08%) from the close of the previous session of (584.98) points.

"The market in today's session traded shares of (35) companies out of (101) listed companies in the market while the number of companies suspended by a decision of the Securities Commission for non-compliance with financial disclosure instructions (13) companies."

The number of shares purchased by non-Iraqi investors between Abd-Salam reached 95,819 million shares valued at (141,990) million dinars through the implementation of (68) deal on the shares of (8) companies while the number of shares sold by non-Iraqi investors (240,384) Million shares worth (221,700) million dinars through the implementation of (84) deal on shares (4) companies.

He explained that four banks topped the companies contributing in the volume of trading value (Sumer Bank, Bank of Baghdad, Gulf Bank, Middle East Bank) and other companies topped the Baghdad Company for soft drinks.
