Iraqi warplanes bombard vital bridge in Anbar governorate

Iraqi warplanes have bombarded a vital bridge at Rawa town in Anbar governorate and managed to block a road used by ISIS to transport supplies, a local source in Anbar governorate said on Sunday.

That bridge lies north of Euphrates River and connects Rawa's downtown with the desert and Al-Jazeera area, he added.

These efforts come as part of an offensive launched by US-backed security forces, supported by Iranian-backed sectarian IMIS Shiite militias to oust ISIS terrorists from Iraq.

Iraqi forces have been battling the terror group of ISIS in the right bank of the city since February 19th with the aid of the US-led coalition after freeing the eastern bank of the war-shattered city.
