Deputy calls for expediting the return of electricity station Nujaiba to service
A member of the oil and energy parliamentary committee, Jamal al-Muhammadawi, on Saturday, to restore power station Nujaiba to work after leaving service because of a failure in the engine of the cooling pump.

"A member of the oil and energy committee of parliament, Jamal al-Muhammadawi, inspected the Nujaiba power plant after it was out of service due to a malfunction in the engine of the cooling pump and the maintenance of the station," said a statement by the Mahallawi office.

He explained that "the exit of the station from work due to a failure in the cooling pumps and the loss of about (140) megawatts, which caused the decline in the reality of electricity supply in Basra," calling for "speed up the maintenance of the holidays and return the station to service to contribute to stability of electricity in Basra after power outages for long hours with high temperatures. "

The Ministry of Electricity issued an order to exempt the director of the station Nujaibiya on the grounds of being accused of negligence as a result of station stop work.
