Dhi Qar Council approves a set of points to support the electricity sector in the province

The Dhi Qar provincial council on Wednesday approved a set of points to support the electricity sector in the province to secure salaries of employees and provide monthly amounts to purchase the necessary materials for the maintenance of the electrical network.

Council member Zeinab Khalaf told Al-Ghad Press that "the Electricity Committee provided a number of points to support the electricity distribution sector in the governorate.

The most prominent of these is the non-promotion of transactions to all government departments within the administrative unit only after obtaining support from the Electricity Department in the administrative unit, Electricity and the exception of the health departments, as well as the obligation of all centrally funded departments to send lists of wages of electricity to (the Ministry of Finance, the Department of Accounting) to work between transfers between the budget appropriations and disbursement in favor of the Ministry of Electricity.

"The council stressed the continuation of the work of collecting electricity fees and taking legal measures against violators only, which include cutting off the electricity after a 10-day warning to the violator and not to resort to cutting off the electricity from the entire transformers, because it is illegal and unfair to the committed participants."

She pointed out that "the Council stressed the administrative units in the province of the need to carry out a campaign to reduce the rumors in the electrical network by raising the excess of the electrical system and all forms, and all types of household, commercial, industrial, agricultural, government) and the inclusion of all slums built on the municipal and agricultural lands by procedures , Until they set up regular meters. "
She pointed out that "the possibility of clearing between credit and debit amounts in the presence of the two departments of the distribution of electricity Dhi Qar and other government departments."

"The distribution of electrical power between the administrative units will be based on a set of criteria, including the number of subscribers, the collection of electricity fees and the reduction of administrative waste. This should be taken into account when developing plans for the development of the network and the preparation of materials for them. (132 KV), secondary stations (33 KV), 33 KV lines, 132 KV lines and each departmental section separately, identifying the problems for each departmental division and giving priority to the treatment.

"The council has committed all government departments that are self-financed and unable to pay electricity fees for 2017 of their revenues by sending lists of electricity payments through their ministries to the Ministry of Finance / Accounting Department for the purpose of allocating and paying wages in favor of electricity distribution department."

Khalaf added that "the council authorized the governor, Yehia Naciri, to put the appropriate mechanisms and procedures to lift the excess of electricity network and support the collection and activate the role of officials of administrative units in order to create a better reality to demand the increase of the share of the province of the Ministry of Electricity.
