Completion of a cement plant worth 300 million dollars in southern Iraq
The Muthanna Investment Commission revealed the completion of an investment cement plant with capacity of 5500 tons per day worth 300 million dollars, likely to open in July.
“The company has completed the civil, mechanical and electrical works of the cement plant in the province with a capacity of 5500 tons per day, while the power plant was installed,” said the director general of the authority in the province, Adel Yasiri, adding that “the total cost of the plant amounted to 300 million dollars.”
He added that “the second half of next July will witness the official opening of the plant, especially as preparations for this continue,” pointing out that “it is a pillar of the economy in the province, and will provide hundreds of jobs and make the province a pioneer in the cement industry in the country.”
