2 ISIS commanders arrested in western Baghdad

Two of ISIS commanders have been arrested in Abu Ghraib city, located in west of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad Operations Command announced on Tuesday.

In a statement, the command's media office said that a unit of the Federal Police's Seventh Brigade has conducted the arrest, adding that it was based on accurate intelligence.

The security forces have arrested recently an ISIS' assassination detachment in Suwaib district, located in southern Baghdad.

On Monday, Iraqi security forces detonated a huge ammunition dump belonging to the terrorist group on the outskirts of Baghdad.

Iraq is witnessing a state of instability and insecurity since 2003 in which a lot of militias, including IMIS and ISIS, had been formed. These militias are following foreign agendas and politics that aim to destroy the country.

Security forces, backed by International Coalition air raids and logistic support of the US army, have launched operations to expel ISIS from districts it occupied since June 2014.
