    Oil plans to raise the export capacity of the port of "Amiyah" to more than one million barrels per day


    The Ministry of Oil announced on Sunday its intention to increase the export capacity of the port of Al-Amiyah oil, south of Basra, to more than one million barrels per day.

    "The Basrah Petroleum Company is currently in the process of rehabilitation and development of the port of Aamiyah with the aim of increasing the export capacity and access to large rates,"
    said the deputy minister for extraction, Karim Hattab, in a statement.

    Hattab added that "the current capacity available to the port is 250 thousand barrels per day and we plan to expand and increase after the completion of development projects, including the extension of new pipelines and the establishment of pumping stations and reservoirs to more than 600 thousand barrels during the coming period, to export rates of more than one million barrels In the next few years and this comes within the plans of the ministry to increase the capacity of the treasury and export of export outlets from the south of the country.

    The Undersecretary of the Ministry said that he "inspected the new housing complex at the port of Al-Amaya oil, which is implemented by the Basra Petroleum Company based on the guidance of Oil Minister Jabbar Ali Al-Allaibi to provide housing suitable for workers in export outlets in appreciation of their outstanding efforts in loading international oil tankers throughout the year and challenging the harsh natural conditions in the sea".

    The Ministry of Oil, earlier this month, the rise of the country's exports to more than 100 million barrels during the last month, noting that the average price per barrel amounted to (46,108) dollars
