Set seven basic criteria relating to the participation of banks in the sale window of foreign currency

    11/06/2017 06:03 | Number of readings:

    Trend Press / Baghdad

Select the Central Bank of Iraq on Sunday, seven key criteria related to the participation of banks sell foreign currency window, indicating that the dollar put the sale process in the framework responds to legal, regulatory and local and international regulatory requirements.

    (( international regulatory requirements!! ))

    MadDScout says(7:38 PM):
"The Central Bank of Iraq has started since the beginning of this year to adopt specific benchmarks regarding the participation of banks in the window selling foreign currency (the dollar)," noting that "this comes after what nearly a year of preparation and consultation for the development of such standards as currently drafted, as these criteria were given a certain degree relative is a total final score of the bank, which in turn determines its share of the quantity sold foreign currency every day. "

(( They have not been "waiting" on Mosul
Back when they told us that the zero's were on hold "But" they were making forward movement on criteria ))

    MadDScout says(7:39 PM):
He added that "seven criteria have been adopted for the classification of banks for the purpose of entering the window of sale of foreign currencies branch out of which other sub-given each relative weight contributes to determine the final grade of the bank," noting that the standards are "compliance (degree of compliance with rules and procedures against money laundering and financing of terrorism) With the largest weight, compliance with foreign currency regulations, the standard of dealing with correspondent banks in terms of being internationally accredited and compliant, matching bank statements with correspondent bank statements, meeting customers' requests, including the number of bank branches, lawsuits against the bank, contracting P international auditing firm and takes into account the date of establishment of the bank as it is downloaded five degrees degrees of banks that have not only been established more than a year. "

Al-Alak added that "the assessment of public banks in terms of their overall performance and efficiency is carried out in accordance with other international standards, notably the International Standard (CAMELS). This is an early warning, whereby banks are classified on the basis of capital adequacy C, asset quality A, profitability E, liquidity L, and sensitivity analysis to market risk, which is expressed in each of the elements of a number of financial indicators. "

"The review of the ratings granted to banks is constantly changing in accordance with the banks' compliance with the requirements and procedures according to the Central Bank's audits and inspections, or by providing evidence of improvement in compliance with one or more criteria. Bank and its formation circles in the evaluation process, according to the standard type and the competence of the department or configuration, which provides high credibility and objectivity. "

Alaq pointed out that "the bank provides each bank with the grades granted according to each criterion and according to each element of each standard. The bank gives the opportunity to object or make observations. A senior committee headed by the deputy governor and a senior staff of the bank reviews the notes or objections in the bank, and it can be adjusted according to the assessment is presented from the bank, "adding that" the door is always open to the bank at any time feel that it has made progress in the application of the rules mentioned. BGG says(7:43 PM):
So this is a further follow-up to our last News Time where we talked about the way the article was worded - it gave the appearance THEY ARE ALREADY IN THE MIDDLE OF MONETARY REFORM.

    MadDScout says(7:44 PM):
    Yes my take away

    MadDScout says to puffdragon(7:44 PM):
    Go

    puffdragon says(7:44 PM):
So the coment NOT waiting on Mosul what is that saying ?

    BGG says(7:44 PM):
Which was my rebuttal to the guy the other day upset about "no progress" being made.

    MadDScout says to puffdragon(7:44 PM):
These moves have been ongoing since before last year was over

    BGG says(7:45 PM):
I'm like - "Have you not bothered to read anything"? Lately??

THE GOI AND CBI FOR WHATEVER REASON IS CONTINUING TO DELAY , FIRST ABADI SAID GIVE ME MOSUL AND YOU'LL HAVE ALL THE REFORMS ! NOW MOSUL IS NOT ENOUGH HE WANTS ALL OF IRAQ ! I JUST PRAY WE HAVE THE REFORMS BY THE END OF JUNE.

    Please wait...

    Don B. says(7:49 PM):
maybe taking advantage of our help while we are there?

    BGG says(7:49 PM):
    My response:

Facts please... They have a lot better things to do than worry about a few thousand investors scattered all over the world (and that is likely what the number really is these days).

Abadi never said such a thing - in fact, he's not in charge of international support and acceptance. The IMF, WB and UN is. If anyone has anything to say along these lines - it's not Abadi.

Nowhere has Abadi said he wants all of Iraq before he institutes monetary and currency reforms.

In fact, just last week one article inferred they are already well into the process of monetary reform. These are documented facts.

Mrs BGG says to willie60(7:50 PM):
    Go

    willie60 says(7:50 PM):
That's called fake news John John.

    BGG says(7:51 PM):

OK JeffUSA - you got that article handy?

    jeffusa810687044855765254724778 says(7:52 PM):
Mosul (IraqiNews.com) Iraqi troops took over a half of the last district held by the Islamic State near the Old City in western Mosul, an Iraqi officer was quoted saying on Sunday.

Maj. Ali Mohsen, from the Iraqi Federal Police service, told BasNews that security troops took over 50 percent of al-Shifa neighborhood, the last one remaining under IS control adjacent to the Old City, its last entrenchment in Mosul.

Mohsen said forces imposed their control over major alleyways and streets in al-Shifa, and killed three foreign snipers fighting for IS.

He added that forces opened fire at a school in the district where militants were seeking shelter, killing several of them, including the area’s media official. He revealed that IS members were withdrawing towards the Old City.
    jeffusa810687044855765254724778 says(7:53 PM):
Hours earlier, the Defense Ministry’s War Media Cell said the army’s 9th division consummated the recapture of Zanjili district from the south, and invaded Bab Sinjar, one of the entrances of the Old City. The medieval area is home to the Grand Nuri Mosque, the place where IS supreme leader proclaimed the group’s rule in Iraq in 2014.

Iraqi troops recaptured Zanjili on Saturday and made incursions in neighboring al-Shifa district, killing dozens of militants and destroying several combat equipment. Both were the last regions remaining under IS control around the Old City.
    jeffusa810687044855765254724778 says(7:53 PM):
    that one?

    BGG says(7:53 PM):

the 9th army attacked in force today

    BGG says(7:56 PM):
So - I said - it would appear this answers the concern they wouldn't do any fighting during Ramadan.

I guess we know the answer to that now - right??

    Ramadan isn't the issue.

    BGG says(8:01 PM):
    That is my assesment.

Doubling back to JeffUSA's article. Another comment:

I have a sneaky suspicion Abadi wants a Ramadan announcement of complete victory.
    IMHO

    jeffusa810687044855765254724778 says(8:03 PM):
    agree

    Don B. says(8:03 PM):
    Over Mosel or ?

    BGG says(8:04 PM):
so I don't think Ramadan is an issue at all - except that IMHO he wants it done then.

    Correct.

    BGG says(8:09 PM):

    BGG says(8:11 PM):
Iraq PM Abadi hails anti-ISIS quick victory

Iraqi PM Haider Abadi said Sunday that none of the world leaders had dreamed such a quick victory against ISIS terror group, asserting that the banner of victory will soon be lifted.

Mrs BGG says to jxxl(8:11 PM):
If you have a question or comment , use a ?

    BGG says(8:11 PM):
A statement released by Abadi's media office said, "Abadi met this morning with special forces and congratulated them on the victories they have achieved in many battles in the mountains of Makhoul, Tikrit, Falluja and others after uniting efforts with the army and the federal police and Counter-Terrorism forces".

The statement quoted Abadi as saying that "Iraq has the capabilities and power unless it is owned by others, and that none of the leaders of the world was dreaming that victory would be achieved at such a rapid pace," pointing out that "the dispersion led to the entry of a supporter and our unity led to victories and liberating the land".

    BGG says(8:13 PM):
"We are determined to protect citizens, prosecute those involved in organized crimes," he said.

Now this is weird - going along talking about Mosul... blah blah blah... then he flips this term in there. Typically, when they use the term "organized crimes" - it refers to financial crime or money laundering...

    ?? weird...

    then he goes right on...

The Iraqi army, backed by the US-led international coalition, started an offensive to liberate the second largest Iraqi city in October 2016.

The Iraqi army announced it was about to fully recapture Mosul.

Iran-allied IMIS militias participates in the operations. But it is involved in tortures, lootings and killings of civilians, particularly Sunnis.

(which is what I have been saying all along - be careful of those characters)...

The Association of Private Banks appoints a temporary chairman

    2017/06/11 (00:01 PM) - The number of readings: 187 - Number (3946)

    Baghdad / Range

The administrative body of the Association of Private Banks yesterday announced the appointment of an interim chairman instead of Wadih al-Hanalal, who was sacked by the majority of the members of the administrative board, pointing out that the dismissal came against the background of administrative and legal violations of the association's work.

The Commission said in a statement received by Al-Mada that it appointed the vice president of the authority as interim chairman instead of Wadih al-Hanalal, who was sacked by the majority of the administrative board members due to administrative and legal violations of the association's work.

The Commission pointed out to "determine the period of 45 days to hold new elections to choose a permanent president of the Association, which is one of the most important institutions affecting the Iraqi economy of the importance of the banking sector in the economy of Iraq and the daily life of citizens through the direct and indirect impact on prices and markets and trade exchanges.

She added that "the president of the association was accused by specialists on many charges, including providing false information to the Central Bank of Iraq to achieve personal benefits at the expense of the banking sector led to spasms in the relationship between banks and the government sector, which almost caused a shake in the Iraqi markets Especially the Iraqi economy is still shaken by the effects of the decline in world oil prices and is experiencing a recovery calculated with the large government expenditure because of its war on terrorism.

The Association of Iraqi Banks decided on Tuesday to dismiss the president of the Association of Banks, while pointing out that a new president of the Association will be chosen later.
