The Ministry of Oil announced on Sunday the lifting of the export capacity of the oil port of southern Iraq to more than one million barrels per day.

"

Hattab added that "the current capacity available to the port is 250 thousand barrels per day and we plan to expand and increase after the completion of development projects, including the extension of new pipelines and the establishment of pumping stations and reservoirs to more than 600 thousand barrels during the coming period, to export rates of more than one million barrels During the next few years, "noting that" this comes within the plans of the ministry to increase the capacity of the treasury and export of export outlets from the south of the country. "

For his part, said spokesman Assem Jihad, "The tour also included a visit to the port of Basra oil and to see and follow up the rehabilitation of some important facilities in the port and meet the workers and pay tribute to their outstanding efforts as well as to meet their needs," pointing out that "the ministerial delegation also inspected the main control center for exports Oil through unilateral buoys. "

It is noteworthy that Iraq exports most of its oil through the ports of Amiyah and the port of Basra oil, in addition to floating platforms for export.
