Iraq and the Atomic Energy Agency sign a document to support peaceful uses

Iraq and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) signed a document on Iraq's National Framework Program (CPF) for the period from 2018 to 2023, which includes providing technical support to Baghdad in the fields of peaceful uses of atomic energy.

"The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will provide technical support to Iraq in all fields of peaceful uses of atomic energy," the Ministry of Higher Education and Science and Technology said in a statement.

The document was signed in Vienna by the Iraqi side Fuad al-Moussawi, the national liaison officer with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), while it was signed by the deputy director-general of the IAEA, Technical Cooperation Program Director Dazhu Yang.
