Parliamentary Finance: Iraq's debt amounted to 111 billion dollars

The financial committee of the parliamentary, on Tuesday, the volume of debt owed by Iraq amounted to about 111 billion dollars, warning of the impossibility of payment in the coming period.

"Since the beginning of this year, so far, some other debt has been added and also what Iraq gets from the International Monetary Fund in order," Finance Committee member Majida al-Tamimi told the Journal News.

"As well as Iraq's signing of a credit facility with the United Kingdom amounted to 12 billion dollars, but still on paper for lack of access to the Ministry of Finance."

"The debt of Iraq so far amounted to 111 billion dollars and may be added during the coming period additional funds to raise the ceiling of debt to new figures."
