The Minister of Oil orders the formation of a committee to study the privatization of the distribution sector

Oil Minister Jabbar al-Luaibi instructed on Monday the formation of a committee to study the privatization of the distribution sector, pointing out that this is to allow private sector companies to develop the distribution sector to provide the best services.
"The oil minister, Jabbar Ali al-Luaibi, instructed the concerned parties to form specialized committees, including the legal, technical, administrative and investment departments, to develop a roadmap for the privatization of the distribution sector in stages according to the laws and regulations," ministry spokesman Asim Jihad said in a statement received by Al-Abba. the window".
Jihad added that "the oil minister has set a period of one month to complete and complete the Commission's preliminary recommendations on the plan, which he instructed," noting that "this comes to allow private sector companies to develop the distribution sector to provide the best services and in keeping with the development of this sector in other countries "He said.
The Iraqi government is seeking to privatize some projects and invest in them by the private sector in light of the low oil prices, which affected Iraq's public budget.
