Pharmacists Syndicate: We have posed great challenges to fixing the pricing of medicines

The Pharmacists Syndicate confirmed on Wednesday that it had faced great challenges because of its efforts to stabilize the drug market, revealing the presence of 18,000 registered pharmacists.

The head of pharmacists Murtada al-Sharifi said in an interview with "Economy News" that the union to support the pricing of medicines has been to enact decisions to take the responsibility to standardize the prices of medicines in accordance with the general situation of the country according to mechanisms agreed upon The union with the Ministry of Health.

Al-Sharifi said that the union faced many challenges to stabilize the prices of drugs until it reached the threat of death, pointing out that the aim of the pricing of drugs is to regulate the work of pharmacies and control the sale of medicines.

He confirmed that 18,000 pharmacists are registered in the syndicate, but the number of workers in pharmacies varies, as well as from one governorate to another.
