"The head of the Health and Environment Committee of Representatives and members of the committee met with the head of the health committee in the Egyptian parliament and a number of members of the committee in the Egyptian parliament," a statement by the Information Office of the parliamentary bloc said.

"The meeting discussed means of joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of health, legislation and the exchange of legislative experiences in this field, as well as the issue of sending Iraqi patients and wounded for treatment in the Arab Republic of Egypt and providing the necessary facilities for them from the Egyptian government, .

"The meeting between the two committees discussed the mechanisms of bringing Egyptian doctors with rare specialties to Iraq to perform surgical operations and provide treatment and diagnostic services in Iraqi hospitals, especially anesthesiologists and surgeons," she added.

He pointed out that "it was agreed to form a joint committee consisting of three members of the Iraqi Health Committee and three members of the Egyptian Health Committee to follow up the agreements and apply them for the benefit of the two countries on the health side." These meetings were held at the headquarters of the Egyptian Parliament in Cairo at the invitation of the President of the Egyptian Parliament and the members of the Egyptian Health Committee and at the expense of the members of the Health and Environment Parliamentary Committee for their keen exchange of experiences and joint cooperation between the two sides. "
