ISIS terrorists attack Iraqi forces in western Mosul
ISIS terrorist group on Wednesday launched an attack on Iraqi forces positioned in al-Rifai district in western Mosul, a security source told The Baghdad Post.
The attack was carried out using five booby-trapped vehicles, the source added, noting that ISIS terrorists are currently hiding in the narrow alley of the Old City in Mosul.
Iraqi security forces recaptured at least 90% of the city, spokesman of Iraqi security force Brigadier Yehia al-Zubaidi said on Tuesday.
The forces are cautiously advancing in this dense part of the city with its narrow alleys and adjacent buildings in order to provide safe corridors for the civilians, he added.
Al-Zubaidi said that this part of the city will witness the last stand for ISIS terrorists in the next days.
