Abadi adviser blasts General Amnesty law

12:09 PM Abadi Adviser of the Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi on Saturday blasted the General Amnesty law saying it did nothing but increasing kidnappings armed robbery in the country

In a press conference, Adnan al-Assadi said that approving the law and including crimes relating to kidnapping within the provisions of the law led to increasing kidnappings

He also argued that approving the law daunted the different security services as fighting such crimes needs enormous efforts

Assadi called for abolishing parts which stipulates including the kidnappings in the law, indicating unemployment is one of the main reasons for kidnappings

Chief of parliamentary al-Fadilah Bloc Ammar Tiammah once said that General Amnesty law favored criminals, neglected the rights of victims and it must be amended
