High oil prices in world markets

Oil prices closed higher in the morning on Tuesday in volatile trading supported by data from major crude producers suggesting that supply cuts from OPEC and outside producers could be extended to the end of the first quarter of 2018.

According to Reuters, the world's benchmark metals contract ended Brent crude for the nearest session maturity of 24 cents, or 0.5 percent, to settle at $ 49.34 a barrel.

US benchmark WTI futures rose 21 cents, or 0.45 percent, to $ 46.43 a barrel.
