Economic parliamentary "Trend Press": all foreign loans went to investment projects

A member of the Committee on Economy and Investment parliamentary Najiba Najib, on Sunday, that all amounts of foreign loans went to investment projects in the country.

Najib said in an interview with "Trend Press" explained that the 2017 loans covered the deficit in the state budget has gone all to investment projects, indicating that the loans were from the IMF, America, the World Bank Group, Germany, Japan, Britain and the Islamic Bank and others.

"These projects will focus on electricity, health and reconstruction of the liberated areas and will be reimbursed with small amounts of interest," she said, adding that the money will be spent in its place to determine the places of disbursement by donors and difficult to get cases of corruption.

It is noteworthy that MP from the National Alliance Rashid Yasiri said that "linking Iraq with long-term loans will affect the economic reality in general in the future."

"The issue of linking Iraq with long-term loans will negatively affect the economic reality," Yasiri said in a statement. "The government has to make future plans to avoid Iraq's large loans that negatively affect the Iraqi government."
