The International Coalition acknowledged the difficulty of military operations in western Mosul, but stressed that Iraqi forces attach great importance to the protection of civilians in the city.

"The battle to liberate what is left in the western part of Mosul is very difficult, after the rest of the elements have resorted to it, in addition to the presence of a large number of civilians," said General John Durian, a spokesman for the international coalition.

"Iraqi forces, backed by the coalition, are doing a difficult job by clearing the tunnels and the buildings they have built," Durian said.

A spokesman for the International Alliance that "Iraqi forces attach great importance to the protection of civilians, while the coalition operations are supported by artillery," noting that the process is very carefully because of the presence of civilians.

The US spokesman said that "the coalition forces, along with Iraqi forces have the capacity to disrupt the movements of Daed in western Mosul and the siege of its elements."

"I have no choice but to surrender or to be annihilated," he said. He could not escape the besieged area and could not recover the land he had lost for Iraqi forces.
The spokesman of the International Alliance that "morale is very bad calling because of this siege," pointing out that the area west of Mosul will return fully and Iraqi forces will raise the Iraqi flag over its buildings.
