The Iraqi delegation concludes its talks with the IMF amid optimism that Iraq will overcome the financial crisis

The Iraqi delegation concluded its discussions with the IMF and the World Bank in the spring meetings that lasted days in the US capital Washington.


"The delegation agreed with IMF Representative for Middle East and East Asia Christian Goose at the end of the talks, which were chaired by the Iraqi Minister of Finance, Abdul Razzaq Al-Issa Agency and in the presence of the Prime Minister's Advisor for Affairs," a statement by the Iraqi Finance Ministry said. The financial appearance of Mohammed Saleh and a number of officials of the Ministries of Finance and Electricity and with the participation of Iraqi Ambassador in Washington Farid Mustafa to complete meetings and joint coordination to contain the difficulties of the financial crisis.


"We are optimistic about the level of understanding and progress achieved with the Iraqi government," IMF representative Christian Goose said, adding that "the steps of coordination and joint consultations that will be completed in the near term will contribute to addressing the financial problems imposed by the circumstances of the war and the accompanying economic effects."
