Iraq Energy Forum concluded 2017 in Baghdad – good hotel, held under the slogan "towards Iraq's energy sector multi-nagawaktsad imports" sponsored by the Iraqi Government and the ministries of oil, electricity, industry and water resources, higher education and scientific research and relevant parliamentary committees, in addition to the Conservatives and advisory bodies of the Council of Ministers, in the presence of official foreign delegations and the active participation of international and local companies investing in the energy sector, in addition to diplomatic representations in Iraq.

The Forum was opened by Prime Minister Haider Abadi, House speaker Selim Jabouri Forum, with the participation of guest of honor, Secretary General of the Organization of petroleum exporting countries (OPEC) Mohamed Barkindo.

The premier praised Abadi "speech" efforts, calling on Congress to "supplement the Government with more ideas to develop investment plans."
"Billions of dollars previously lost due to the loss, noting that" the Government is moving towards building a strong Iraqi economy to advance the country and not rely on one source.

For his part, Secretary General of OPEC, the oil Minister efforts Barkindo Jabbar allaibi for its leading role in the organization where he succeeded in briefly to return Iraq to the assumption of the leadership they deserve, that OPEC was born in Baghdad before 57.

President of the Iraq Institute for energy loay Al-Khatib said in his speech that "the Forum produced many worksheets and economic reform programmes in the energy sector, economic development through plenary meetings and workshops, and will develop an executive summary of all the recommendations of the experts to the Minister and deputies hope introduced to streamline the national economic reform effort."

The Forum discussed the future oil markets amid low oil prices and the multiple sources of conventional and non-conventional energy and renewable, and the impact of u.s. policies on market volatility and oil-exporting economies in the Middle East, especially Iraq and the role of international oil companies in Iraq and ways to scale the risks and promote investment opportunities.

Forum themes also focused on financial challenges for the Iraqi State and reviewing the systems adopted and legal frameworks in Malia, economic reform and play back commercial and banking policies and marketing strategies, and review of mega projects in manufacturing and electric power and gas sector, and planning financial budgets and sober manner multiple State imports and preparation to the post oil era, and work to develop systematic plans address the challenges of population growth and unemployment, technological development, and to look towards the future with a new skyline.

And Iraq Energy Forum-workshops in the design structure of oil and gas contracts under new variables, as well as the development of business partnership programmes between public and private sector in the field of electrical energy production
