This one was posted just an hour ago... BIG NEWS
Abadi: Iraq is moving toward stability and community reconciliation
Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi said Sunday that Iraq is moving toward stability and community reconciliation and that the country has enormous potential for investment. "The Iraqi position" on the need for institutional reform of the state and create jobs for new energies in the country.
He pointed out that the Iraqi budgets during the past years have accumulated with the growth and growth of the population throughout the country, so that the population will double in Iraq in a quarter of a century and will double the need for energy, "electricity and oil" over the next 15 years.
Al-Abbadi explained that Iraq is running for energy and that we seek to benefit from every barrel of oil and every torch of gas burned, declaring that the five-year plan is no longer sufficient and reliable for production because of the ongoing wars, which led to the decline of economic growth, the budgets of Iraq can no longer be sufficient to meet and cover The cost of current population growth.
In his speech today to the Iraq Energy Forum, Abadi called for "creating job opportunities for youth and the unemployed as a priority to ensure the current and future youth capacities." On Sunday, April 2, in Baghdad, the work of the "Iraq Energy Forum 2017," to discuss files that concern the reality and the future of the country's economic, under the supervision of "Iraq Institute of Energy"
The title and first paragraph uses all the reform buzzwords immediately.
Abadi: Iraq is moving toward stability and community reconciliation

2) Reconcilliation (important to the UN) AND...

GO
willie60 says(7:59 PM):
If the end if isis in western Mosul isn't stability what is?
willie60 says(7:59 PM):
this is in reference to your earlier comments today
beachandcountry says(8:00 PM):
? shortly
BGG says to maine(8:00 PM):
That won't happen - quit listening to Frank (or whoever)... I've talked about this at length... they won't act on the current HCL structure. They don't like it. They won't do it. We gotta' quit worrying about it. I doubt the HCL is any "precursor" to an RV. I don't think it is required. IMHO
prs says(8:00 PM):
?
willie60 says(8:00 PM):
What more is the UN and IMF looking for?
BGG says to willie60(8:01 PM):
Please note the operational map as of this AM. Mosul is NOT DONE. People need to get their facts straight.
I tweeted this first thing this AM.
First thing...
So - essentially about 25% left to deal with. Will be very tough - but soon.

asawhill says(8:05 PM):
Sounds like they may have Baghdadi (sp?).
BGG says to beachandcountry(8:05 PM):
Thanks for the comment - a little "guruish" - They haven't finished Mosul off just yet. Once they do - maybe run some of the scattered rabble back across the border. Then we panic.
beachandcountry says(8:05 PM):
MUSOL WILL BE COMPLETE SAME TIME AS THIS STUFF FOR THE NEWS AND CLOSURE
BGG says to beachandcountry(8:05 PM):
for now - R-E-L-A-X.
Mrs BGG says to tarheeltim(8:05 PM):
GO
tarheeltim says(8:05 PM):
What do you think of the news of the Kurds suceeding from Baghdad? Does that concern you with the value of the IQD?
BGG says to asawhill(8:06 PM):
Next article.
Bentley says(8:06 PM):
?
BGG says to tarheeltim(8:06 PM):
Oh LORD - do I need to go through this again?? I will...
I'm serious... I went through this over and over the last several days.
BGG says to tarheeltim(8:07 PM):
everyone is all like "OMG - OMG"...
tarheeltim says(8:07 PM):
Readers Digest version, sounds like a sore subject. I have been out and not able to keep up. my bad
BGG says to tarheeltim(8:07 PM):
It's all GOOD.
No biggie - I've just had to write a book on it lately.
I've actually talked about this for several years.
tarheeltim says(8:08 PM):
Just tell me where to find the info and I will do my homework
BGG says to prs(8:10 PM):
Source or where is it posted??

prs says(8:11 PM):
thank you
BGG says to prs(8:11 PM):
Highly likely he picked it up off of the "Face Iraq" feed -

Mrs BGG says to Bentley(8:11 PM):
Go Glad you're here tonight!
BGG says to Bentley(8:12 PM):
First, Did you ding that Ground Hog??
Bentley says(8:13 PM):

?
Bentley says(8:13 PM):
Not yet, he spooks easy
BGG says to Bentley(8:13 PM):
Your magnum is the MOST FUN I have had in a long time. I'm gonna' look for one of those.
Bentley says(8:14 PM):
I'm feeding him a little corn before the lead.
tarheeltim says(8:14 PM):
I clicked on the link and come up empty??
BGG says to Bentley(8:14 PM):
Meaning - once they actually clear Mosul, drive out stragglers and finalize a few items... THEN if there isn't some real movement we can start worrying... for now - RELAX.
BGG says to tarheeltim(8:19 PM):
Read the comments made all day long - you didn't miss a thing from CHAT.
(be sure to hug a Chat Copier... they work so hard putting this stuff in there)
Mrs BGG says to jeffusa(8:20 PM):
Go
jeffusa says to BGG(8:20 PM):
Media sources said that with the precarious situation for ISIL in Mosul, strong suggestions have been made that the terrorist group is now beginning to run low on ammunition and weapons.
Al-massdar news reported that photos released by the ISIL-affiliated Amaq Agency showed ISIL using homemade rockets to repel the heavy attack of the Iraqi Army in the Northern city and former ISIL's stronghold of Mosul.
The latest reports from sources in Iraq suggest that there are only around 1,000 ISIL fighters in the city, bogged down and concentrated in the Northwestern sector.
This sector accounts for approximately 15% of the city, meaning that Iraqi forces control the remainder.
At the beginning of the operation to liberate Mosul in October, ISIL had approximately 7,000 fighters, in which the majority have been decimated.
jeffusa says to MadDScout(8:29 PM):
The Kurds want us to build a base there
MadDScout says(8:30 PM):
I see
They also want a 2 iraq policy which I don't think is gonna work right now
Any??'s comments
asawhill says(8:32 PM):
I don't get the timing of Barzani at all.
BGG says(8:32 PM):
Ok - here we go... Kurdish RANT.
BGG says(8:33 PM):
Everyone wringing their hands over this Kurdish thing - RELAX!!
MadDScout says to asawhill(8:33 PM):
He is afraid of becoming irrelevant
BGG says(8:33 PM):
They have talking about this for YEARS.
BGG says(8:34 PM):
There is a little "realignment" of the political stars going on right now. The Kurds are masters of "getting something" - two big reasons it won't be "independence".
BGG says(8:34 PM):
1) they don't have the money. PERIOD.
BGG says(8:34 PM):
what they want to do will cost money.
BGG says(8:35 PM):
2) they don't have the international support for such a move right now... but
BGG says(8:35 PM):
they play their cards right - they might even get Abadi to back their play over the next few years.
BGG says(8:35 PM):
and THAT - FOLKS
BGG says(8:36 PM):
is what these meetings in the next couple of days are geared towards...
asawhill says(8:37 PM):
Barzani playing "the long game"?
Mrs BGG says to asawhill(8:37 PM):
Please use your? and we will call on you, thank you
BGG says(8:38 PM):
The Kurds have the idea Abadi needs them worse than they need him right now. This isn't such a strong position. Maliki is lining up with the PUK right now.. as is Iran... the main opposition party in the KRG. The Kurds need Abadi as bad as he needs them. Maybe more.
BGG says(8:39 PM):
Plus - there is gonna' be a &%^ ton of US presence in Erbil soon - they will do as we say. PERIOD.
BGG says(8:39 PM):
This rhetoric is just saber rattling...
BGG says(8:39 PM):
so relax.
might want to go read the chat logs from the last couple of days as well.
Mrs BGG says(8:40 PM):
Does anyone have any other questions or comment?
Asawhill says(8:40 PM):
?
Mrs BGG says to asawhill(8:40 PM):
go
asawhill says(8:41 PM):
Good perspective, BGG! Thanks!
Srldr1 says(8:41 PM):
Looking forward to another round table recorded call....just saying
BGG says to Srldr1(8:41 PM):
Soon as I can get it one together - I will.
larrykn says(8:42 PM):
?
BGG says to asawhill(8:42 PM):
TYVM - I call it like I see it (and we do study - A LOT).
Mrs BGG says to larrykn(8:42 PM):
Go
Homes says(8:42 PM):
Thanks BBG when is the next CC.
larrykn says(8:42 PM):
I've always wanted to know, do you think the kurds will get total independence or become a state within Iraq
BGG says to Homes(8:42 PM):
Hopefully soon.
Dinar Dave says(8:43 PM):
And the odd bold statement...LOL
BGG says to larrykn(8:43 PM):
maybe - someday...
not anytime soon.
asawhill says(8:44 PM):
You guys are the only honest brokers in town for ''tis whole community, so never under estimate hoe much you are appreciated.
BGG says to larrykn(8:44 PM):
this is also cool timing for Barzani - he's stepping down, a relative will run - probably Nerchivan...
the Kurds will get consessions - he will be elected and carry the dynasty.
Get it?
larrykn says(8:44 PM):
it will be interesting to see what happens to them in a few years
ghost says(8:45 PM):
?
BGG says to larrykn(8:46 PM):
It will. I am hopeful for them - but I don't see this holding Iraq back in the short term. There is alot going on behind the scenes.
Mrs BGG says to ghost(8:46 PM):
Go
larrykn says to BGG(8:46 PM):
I agree Iraq is moving on
larrykn says to BGG(8:47 PM):
the news is just awsome lately
ghost says(8:47 PM):
Comment actually - I just got a new "flash" that Kushner is in Iraq at the invitation of Gen. Dunsford. I joined late, I dont knbow it you covered that
ghost says(8:47 PM):
....and it might not mean anything
ghost says(8:48 PM):
but there was a lot of rumor about that a few weeks ago
Maureen1 says(8:48 PM):
?
BGG says to ghost(8:48 PM):
We'll see - what it means is... our President wants his most trusted people on the ground in Iraq. He's engaged. Not trying to bail out!!
Mrs BGG says to Maureen1(8:49 PM):
GO
ghost says(8:49 PM):
That is certain
BGG says to larrykn(8:49 PM):
