NATO decides to support Iraq with military medicine and armor maintenance

(AFP) - NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced on Friday that NATO foreign ministers have decided to take military medicine lessons in Iraq and help Baghdad maintain Iraqi armor.

"We have decided to tighten procedures inside Iraq, including military medical courses, to train Iraqi doctors and help maintain tanks and armor," Stoltenberg told a news briefing today.

NATO previously announced that it had agreed to a range of measures taken to help strengthen Iraq's defense capabilities and NATO's participation in the training of Iraqi specialists in countries with good relations with NATO in the Middle East, such as Turkey and Jordan.

Earlier, Jens Stoltenberg announced that NATO had received a request from the Iraqi authorities to help strengthen the country's defense capabilities
