Abadi calls during his meeting with the Secretary of the United Nations to remove Iraq from Chapter VII

(Baghdad: Al Furat News) Prime Minister Haider Abadi called for the removal of Iraq from Chapter VII in order to end the file of the occupation of Kuwait and the decisions imposed on the Iraqi people because of the policies of the Saddam regime.

"The prime minister met today with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterich and stressed that the United Nations is doing basic humanitarian and relief work for the displaced and restoring stability and community reconciliation," the statement said.

"The people of Iraq have demonstrated their ability to defeat terrorism and expel the oppressor. We are in the final stage of liberating Mosul and our forces are exerting their utmost efforts to protect the civilians," Abadi said.

He called on the United Nations and the UN Security Council to "make a decision to prosecute the crimes against civilians, praising the invitation of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in this area, and called on the international community to support Iraq to restore stability to liberated cities, also called for the removal of Iraq from Chapter VII to end the file The occupation of Kuwait and the decisions imposed on the Iraqi people because of the policies of the Saddam regime. "
