Iraq received $ 18 billion from the International Fund

The economic and investment commission in Parliament Sunday announced the receipt of Iraq's $ 18 billion in the form of payments from the International Monetary Fund, as pointed out that the deduction of nine billion of the money paid as compensation to Kuwait for the 1990 invasion.

Said committee member Najiba Najib in a press statement that "Iraq signed an agreement with the International Monetary Fund for financial reform in the Iraqi state," pointing out that "the $ 18 billion paid in the form of bursts of the Iraqi government."

She added that "Iraq received money from the IMF in the form of three batches," pointing out that "the government withheld $ 9 billion of imports of the Convention and paid compensation to Kuwait for the 1990 invasion."
