Baghdad Governor Sacked

BAGHDAD — An Iraqi courtroom on Wednesday permitted the choice to sack Baghdad’s Governor Ali al-Tamimi.

The approval comes after Baghdad provincial council on 19th of January determined to take away Tamimi from his place.

Mohammed Gown’i, a member of the council, confirmed the report and stated the courtroom says the choice is constitutional and never towards the regulation, due to this fact it will likely be put into motion.

Baghdad provincial council is predicted to carry a gathering on Tuesday and name on candidates to step ahead for the vacant place.

Tamimi is from the al-Ahrar bloc which is led by the influential Shi’ite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr.
