    digiman1 says(6:40 PM):
your thots on the lack of updates by the cbi?

    BGG says(6:40 PM):
    Ferris Bueller

    BGG says(6:40 PM):
(oh - there you are )

    BGG says(6:41 PM):
    My thoughts??

    digiman1 says(6:41 PM):
your thots usually confirm my thots....

    BGG says(6:42 PM):
I'm not sure what to make of that - it is VERY DIFFERENT, NEW and WEIRD. I suspect it has something to do with what we are after - I just don't know exactly what.

    BGG says(6:42 PM):
plenty of folks saying it's no big deal.
    (they would be wrong).

    digiman1 says(6:43 PM):
personally i don't expect they will use that platform any longer (imo)

    david334 says(6:43 PM):
    ? no hurry

    BGG says(6:43 PM):
the longest stretch I can remember in many years was 3 or 4 days. We are at 37 days and counting.

    BGG says(6:44 PM):
P.S. I can recall nowhere the Iraqi constitution requires some rate change within 30 days of no posting (or any other combination of events ending in an RV).

    BGG says to digiman1(6:44 PM):
I agree - I doubt they do either?? But I have no clue as to where they are headed??

    digiman1 says(6:45 PM):
the new cbi site comes to mind....they have been slowly adding to that...

    BGG says to digiman1(6:46 PM):
    Roger that...

    digiman1 says(6:47 PM):
    thank you

    MrsBGG says to Pablo(6:47 PM):
    Go

    Pablo says to BGG(6:47 PM):
Have you got any follow up info on the airlines and the FOREX?

    Robl says(6:48 PM):
    ?

    BGG says to Pablo(6:48 PM):
I did some checking - the Forex jive is pure BOGUS out of another website. The IQD has been listed on
many Forex platforms for a long time.

    BGG says to Pablo(6:49 PM):
whatever tiny fluctuations you see throughout the day are reflections of tiny moves in the currency they are "pegged to" - or paired with for a quote... NOT any change in status or value of the IQD (YET).

    BGG says to Pablo(6:49 PM):
    Woops - (some checking).

    BGG says to Pablo(6:49 PM):
which was about what I was thinking right off the top of my head.

    BGG says to Pablo(6:50 PM):
    2nd part.

    BGG says to Pablo(6:50 PM):
the airline business is not as is being portrayed by the Dinar Gurus - NOT EVEN CLOSE.

    BGG says to Pablo(6:51 PM):
if you re-read that article it is a "decision" by the airline board relative to 2 Iraqi ministries ONLY. Now - there is a lot do actually discuss...

    BGG says to Pablo(6:52 PM):
    1) the GOI actually has IQD to spend.

    BGG says to Pablo(6:52 PM):
they buy it with petro-dollars to engage in internal projects with.

    7shelia says(6:52 PM):
    ?

    BGG says to Pablo(6:53 PM):
    2) this is a PRIVATE COMPANY BOARD had a meeting an just made the decision - nothing more... very recent.

    BGG says to Pablo(6:53 PM):
    3) they will implement soon.

    BGG says to Pablo(6:53 PM):
    4) here's the real interesting question...

    BGG says to Pablo(6:54 PM):
this is what everyone has MISSED.

    BGG says to Pablo(6:55 PM):
WHY ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH does a private company all of the sudden decide they want to start taking in IQD (which is regarded by many in Iraq as WORTHLESS - and hard to deal with)?????????????

    BGG says to Pablo(6:55 PM):
    AND -

    BGG says to Pablo(6:56 PM):
they pull one of the SMOOTHEST DEALS IN HISTORY...

    BGG says to Pablo(6:56 PM):
    by -

    BGG says to Pablo(6:56 PM):
letting the #1 source of DINAR in the world

    BGG says to Pablo(6:57 PM):
in fact, insisting on - not "letting" - them use IQD to pay for flights.

    BGG says to Pablo(6:58 PM):
this is what everyone is missing.

    BGG says to Pablo(6:58 PM):
The freemarket change in perception... ever so slight - but it just happened.

    GrannieAnnie says(6:58 PM):
They are forced to use Dinar now at the air port. right BGG?

    BGG says to GrannieAnnie(6:58 PM):
just 2 of the Iraqi Minisitries.

    GrannieAnnie says(6:59 PM):
    ok

    Pablo says to BGG(6:59 PM):
Which implies some sort of international recognition to allow these planes use IQD to buy fuel and stuff.

    BGG says to GrannieAnnie(6:59 PM):
this is a very minor deal meant to put some reserve up for the airline.

    BGG says to Pablo(6:59 PM):
you are still missing the big picture.

    GrannieAnnie says(6:59 PM):
    awww ok BGG

    BGG says to Pablo(6:59 PM):
they know what is coming soon.

    BGG says to Pablo(7:00 PM):
they are looking for appreciation - just like you and I.

    MrsBGG says to david334(7:00 PM):
    GO

    david334 says(7:00 PM):
I was disapointed in one of the early stories in the forum on how tarriffs and tax revs were up 45 fold but an asrtonomical amount was stolen . The tone was like the stealing is so pervasive no one can deal withit.. Also the news flow has seemed to have really slowed down.

    BGG says to david334(7:01 PM):
Slow news is just a short trend.

    BGG says to david334(7:01 PM):
to your main point - they are dealing with this, WHOLESALE.

    david334 says(7:01 PM):
    circumstances

    cricket22 says to BGG(7:01 PM):
    ?

    MrsBGG says to Robl(7:01 PM):
    Go

    Robl says(7:02 PM):
I read where Vietnam is having an amazing growth and something like in the top of Asia. And yet they still have a currency worth about 1/20th a cent to US currency. It has been this way for 40 years.
We know Iraq and where they are with their currency. We have seen Congress make statements that they expect it to RV to somewhere just under $1.
We have read that if Iraq does change the currency to just about a Dollar, that there could be many angry people for having exchanged their large notes for smaller and maybe they would riot. How would Iraq handle this? And when you look at Vietnam, could this go on and on like Vietnam even thought we have read a change in first of 2017?

    Thanks

    loop says(7:02 PM):

    BGG says to Robl(7:03 PM):
    1) IMHO - VND is nowhere close... not even CLOSE.

    willie60 says(7:03 PM):
    ?

    BGG says to Robl(7:04 PM):
    2) what does it matter for them if they exchanged for lower denoms or not?? They will still have the same number of Dinars?? No big deal. The whole riot business is not realistic.

    BGG says to loop(7:05 PM):
    Thanks for the help Loop.

    MrsBGG says to 7shelia(7:05 PM):
    GO

    7shelia says(7:05 PM):
Do you know if some of the new currency is already on the streets in Iraq?

    loop says(7:05 PM):
The report pointed to a decline in trading volume reached 426.8 billion dinars in 2016 compared to about 456.2 billion dinars in 2015 and by a decrease of 6.4 percent.

    BGG says to 7shelia(7:05 PM):
Has been for months. Again - no big deal.

    7shelia says(7:06 PM):
    Ok. thank you

    BGG says to 7shelia(7:06 PM):
They have a couple of versions of most of the notes floating around.

    MrsBGG says to cricket22(7:06 PM):
    Go

    cricket22 says to BGG(7:06 PM):
What's your thoughts on the video of Trump, and what he said about the currencies yesterday?

    BGG says to cricket22(7:07 PM):
I would take what he's saying as more of an illustration and not a "literal" statement.

    cricket22 says to BGG(7:07 PM):
    Ok, thanks!

    BGG says to cricket22(7:07 PM):
However, he seems to be very direct and means to do as he says...

    cricket22 says to BGG(7:08 PM):
Which I really like about him.

    BGG says to cricket22(7:08 PM):
him having the "currency parity" stance and seeming to want to enforce that philosophy - IS VERY GOOD FOR US.

    cricket22 says to BGG(7:08 PM):
    Oh yes!

    BGG says to cricket22(7:08 PM):
Especially since Iraq is likely the most undervalued currency on the PLANET.

    MrsBGG says to willie60(7:08 PM):
    Go

    willie60 says(7:09 PM):
Did Loop bring an article in that inferred that it would only take 10 days to liberate Mosul once military operations began?

    BGG says to loop(7:09 PM):
    ??

    loop says(7:09 PM):
However the USA does not mandate world currency policy. So consensus of the world is needed.

    BGG says to loop(7:10 PM):
    Very true.

    loop says to willie60(7:10 PM):
No it was saying the the operations is expected to start within the next 10 days.

    loop says to willie60(7:10 PM):
    Translation was cloudy.

    willie60 says(7:10 PM):
    TY I read it wrong

    loop says to willie60(7:11 PM):
Easy to do with some of these translations.

    BGG says to loop(7:11 PM):
Thanks for all your contributions lately - really good stuff man!!

    david334 says(7:12 PM):
    absolutely

    loop says to BGG(7:12 PM):
Happy to do contribute when I can.

    BGG says to loop(7:13 PM):
I agree with your comment that the US doesn't mandate currency policy - but it is heartening to hear we might actually be on the winning side of an argument this time.

    BGG says to loop(7:13 PM):
    and

    BGG says to loop(7:13 PM):
once the US throws their support behind this...

    Pablo says to BGG(7:13 PM):
    ?

    BGG says to loop(7:14 PM):
as they have - in so many ways lately... UST, IMF, Banking heads, etc, etc, etc...

    loop says to BGG(7:14 PM):
True US does carry a lot of weight.

    BGG says to loop(7:14 PM):
it is easier to get world support / IMF support for such a move.

    BGG says to loop(7:14 PM):
    AND -

    BGG says to loop(7:14 PM):
keep in mind the US just backed all the CBI Bond issue (??)

    BGG says to loop(7:15 PM):
    (was that right??)

    MrsBGG says to Pablo(7:15 PM):
    Go

    Pablo says to BGG(7:15 PM):
Is it possible that they may be holding off till the treasury secretary is sworn in on Mon?

    loop says to BGG(7:15 PM):
    Correct..

    BGG says to Pablo(7:15 PM):
I doubt that matters much - but...

    BGG says to Pablo(7:16 PM):
I DOUBT THEY CHECK WITH ME FIRST...

    MrsBGG says(7:17 PM):
Does anybody have any more questions?

    david334 says(7:18 PM):
    ?

    7shelia says(7:18 PM):
    ?

    MrsBGG says to david334(7:18 PM):
    Go

    david334 says(7:18 PM):
BGG areyou upbeat on the GOI and banking progress?

    BGG says to david334(7:19 PM):
    BIG TIME!!

    david334 says to BGG(7:19 PM):
    Thanks very much

    BGG says to david334(7:20 PM):
HUGE PROGRESS... they are (probably) right at the doorstep of what they need done. Once a couple of things are done - they are fiscally ready to pull the trigger.

    BGG says to david334(7:20 PM):
    IMHO

    MrsBGG says to 7shelia(7:20 PM):
    Go

    7shelia says(7:20 PM):
BGG - So if there are two currencies on the street they will all be worth the same right?

    david334 says to BGG(7:20 PM):
That means a lot to me

    MrsBGG says to 7shelia(7:20 PM):
    BGG said yes.

    7shelia says(7:20 PM):
    thank you

    MrsBGG says to 7shelia(7:21 PM):
    you are welcome

    loop says to 7shelia(7:21 PM):
They would have to be priced the same.

    david334 says to BGG(7:22 PM):
Thank you so much and good night

    willie60 says to BGG(7:22 PM):
What are those couple of things that need to be done?

    loop says to david334(7:24 PM):
The banking sector is light years ahead of where it was just a year ago. All of their actions point to getting ready to for entry into the world markets. IMO

    7shelia says(7:24 PM):
    Thank you Loop....you're the best!

    david334 says to loop(7:25 PM):
That is so important thanks loop . Your value increases every day

    Pablo says to BGG(7:25 PM):
    ?

    BGG says to loop(7:25 PM):
Since you and I are basically on the same page on this one - you mind filling willie60 in?

    loop says to david334(7:25 PM):
Look at where 73% of the ISX trading action is. Banking stocks..

    willie60 says to BGG(7:26 PM):
    Thank you BGG and Loop

    loop says to BGG(7:26 PM):
    Sure

    david334 says to loop(7:26 PM):
Leading indicator for the growth ahead.

    loop says to willie60(7:27 PM):
We know that stability plays a major piece of this puzzle and form a banking standpoint I believe they are there.

    MrsBGG says to Pablo(7:29 PM):
    Go

    Pablo says to BGG(7:29 PM):
Getting back to Mosul, we seem to be having conflciting info, it's going to be done in 30 days, it's going to be done in 60 days, ISIS's military operations have ended, ISIS's leadership is dead and heading for Syria and the rest are fleeing for their lives. Can you clear things for us, because it almost sounds like by the time they decide to attack, there won't be any ISIS left, so why would it take 30-60 days?

    loop says to willie60(7:29 PM):
So I have started coming to the realization that Mosul being ISIS free and a start of the national reconciliation may very well be what the IMF and the world bank are looking for.

    BGG says to Pablo(7:30 PM):
You have conflicting info - I don't... once they start (which should be soon) it will go very quickly.

    BGG says to loop(7:30 PM):
    I fully agree.

    david334 says to loop(7:30 PM):
    reconciliation !!!

    willie60 says to loop(7:30 PM):
A big thank you. Kind of what I was hoping you would say.

    loop says to willie60(7:31 PM):
The reason that I say this is that when the operations to free Mosul started Abadi came out and said it would be finished by the end of the year.

    BGG says to loop(7:31 PM):
which wasn't my opinion 6 months ago - but the "tells" are there. It really appears the IMF / WB and UN have put a price tag on international re-integration. The Price? M-O-S-U-L...

    loop says to willie60(7:32 PM):
After he said that Alak comes out and says that the lower denoms would come out would come out in the first part of 2017.

    david334 says to loop(7:32 PM):
    great insight written beautifully

    BGG says to loop(7:32 PM):
    Huge insights there.

    loop says to willie60(7:33 PM):
I think Alaks forecast was based on Mosul being ISIS free by then.

    willie60 says to loop(7:33 PM):
It fits like a puzzle. Many thanks to you all.

    david334 says to BGG(7:33 PM):
    I meant you and loop

    loop says to willie60(7:34 PM):
I am still very very optimistic about where we are. The big picture that their actions are pointing to is the main reason for this.

    david334 says to BGG(7:34 PM):
Life goes on doesn't it ?

    MrsBGG says(7:34 PM):
Thank you everyone for joining us for News Time!!

    MrsBGG says(7:35 PM):
Thank you Loop & Mr. BGG!!

    david334 says to BGG(7:35 PM):
    Thank you Mrs BGG.
