International Monetary participate in the Arab Forum for growth

regulated by the Arab Monetary Fund in cooperation with the International Monetary Fund on 12 February next public financial forum to discuss the growth and economic diversification and tax revenue policy issues and their role in achieving comprehensive and sustainable development.

It is scheduled to be held in Forum attended by ministers and senior officials involved in financial policy in the Arab region with the participation of a number of experts and specialists from international institutions, led by Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund.

The forum aims to promote the exchange of experiences and discuss the challenges faced by policy makers in the Arab region in the context of economic and financial regional and international developments related to a decline in oil prices and weak global economic growth.

Forum will also address tax reform policies, tax administration, as well as discuss the value - added tax, given their importance to the mobilization of public resources in the Arab countries.

The head of the Arab Monetary Fund Humairi Abdullah pointed to the Fund contracted with a specialized consulting firm to set up a regional system for clearing and settling payments intra - Arab, who was Arab finance ministers Council has dealt with him on several occasions the project.

As it has been the establishment of a working group comprising representatives of the Fund and all the Arab central banks with the participation of the World Bank, to follow up with a design consulting firm preparation efforts.
