Central Bank: We will deal with private banks, according to preset standards

The governor of the Iraqi Central Bank on the Keywords, said on Sunday that the bank will deal with private banks in the various activities according to pre-established criteria.

Keywords and said in an interview with (long-Presse), "The Bank has developed standards for private banks designed to evaluate its work in this important sector," pointing out that "the assessment of work done and the calculated grades for banks."

Keywords and added that "there are banks took advanced degrees in the evaluation and the other took the low temperatures," he said, adding that the banks that took the assessment of poorly working today to restore their accounts which is racing to reach the highest ranks. "

Keywords and noted that "the Central Bank will deal with those banks in accordance with the criteria laid down in the various activities and will be the lines that will be followed by the bank in the coming period."

The banking system in Iraq consists of 65 banks as well as the Central Bank and distributed by ownership between 7 state banks and 58 private banks including investment and commercial banks and Islamic.
