Egypt seeks to deal with Iraq on oil imports beginning 2017

Egyptian oil Minister said Mullah Tariq said Thursday that his country is seeking to reach agreement with Iraq on importing raw it straight through first quarter of 2017.

Mullah said in remarks to reporters on the sidelines of the Organization of petroleum exporting Arabic [OPEC] held in Cairo today to "target quantities imported from Iraq of between one million and two million barrels per month.

And stopped the world's largest oil company Aramco on Egypt to supply petroleum products since last October despite having contracted Saudi company needed supplies for five years, because of the different viewpoints of the two countries on the crisis.

Saudi Arabia has agreed to provide Egypt with petroleum duplicates by 700 thousand tons per month for five years under an agreement worth 23 billion dollars between Saudi Aramco and the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation signed during an official visit to the Saudi King Salman Ibn Abdel Aziz of Egypt this year.

Egyptian oil Minister Tariq Mullah visited Baghdad early last November at the head of a high level delegation from the Egyptian Ministry of petroleum in a three-day official visit, during which he signed with Iraqi oil Minister Abdul allaibi squid on a memorandum of understanding for joint cooperation in oil and gas industry development.
