Federal Court proceedings are set to dismiss the appeal, Hoshyar Zebari

The Federal Supreme Court rejected in Iraq, on Tuesday, 20/12/2016 appeal submitted by Hoshyar Zebari about the unconstitutionality of the withdrawal of confidence from him and his dismissal from his post as minister of the Iraqi Finance.

According Roudao media network's correspondent in Baghdad, Hassan Bahman, that the Federal Supreme Court has decided to answer the appeal submitted by Hoshyar Zebari, in a closed session.

The spokesman for the federal judiciary Judge Abdul Sattar Bayrakdar in a press statement seen by Roudao Media Network, said that "the Federal Supreme Court heard today in a lawsuit to challenge the unconstitutionality of the sacking of Finance Minister after being questioned in the House of Representatives."

He stressed that the court "made it clear in its judgment that the seven-day period mentioned in the article (61 / VII / c) of the Constitution concerning the period between application and acceptance of interrogation, and the establishment of actually interrogation for the purpose of enabling the Minister to create answers and evidence."

He added that "the judgment pointed out that this period does not go off to the formation of a belief among members of the House of Representatives answers Almistojb but that the vote Balaqalh whether or not to be in accordance with the vision of the council members regardless of the period between the end of the questioning and the release of the Council's decision Balacalh process, and the court decided to dismiss the claim for this the reason".

The Iraqi parliament may withdraw confidence from the Iraqi finance minister, Hoshyar Zebari, through secret vote, the votes of 158 deputies against the 77 deputies voted against the resolution.
