Call for establishment of a bank for women

General Director of Arabic women's organization, Mervat Tallawy, there's more than one billion and 300 Ms does not deal with the banks.

Tallawy to deal with commercial banks is hard on women, requiring the need to develop programs to attract women to the banks, or the work of a private bank for the ladies, as in New York.

This came during the sixth Conference of women Cairo Arabic, under the title (the role of business in achieving economic empowerment for women), moderated by the ancient elmarasi and maintained information organized by ADB in collaboration with Arabic women's organization.

Tallawi said the organization supports women in entrepreneurship and economic empowerment is reflected in the growth of the national economy, stabilizing the Arabic families, women's ability to self sufficiency.

Dr Leila said, the resident representative of the African Development Bank in Egypt, women constitute almost half the continent's population, though, didn't get the African women economic empowerment deserves compared to men. Failure to enable African women represents a lost opportunity for all African States, particularly in the areas of creating new jobs, economic development, and improve the standard of living. The World Bank was developing a strategy for gender equality to guide efforts in the Member States in the area of women's economic empowerment.

Jehan showed diabetes, the first official economic and social development of the African Development Bank, the proportion of large companies in the area that are owned or managed by women more than any other region in the world, the proportion of small and medium enterprises owned or run by women less than global proportions.

She pointed out that there are many obstacles to women owning or managing small and medium enterprise, requires specific measures to address these constraints.
