Parliamentary Integrity Commission announced the intention of Parliament to discuss the results of the work of international investigators in the files of corruption during the next legislative sessions.

Committee Chairman Talal Zobaie in a statement seen by (Journal News), Sunday, that the government has signed a contract to hire inspectors and international investigators in the framework of the United Nations Convention against Corruption.

He said that investigators have begun work on many important files of corruption, especially those related to senior officials in the Iraqi government.

He added that the priority in the work of international investigators will be for decades to the Ministry of Defence and then moving to other sectors have significance, noting that there are factors preventing Iraqi investigators delve into those files, including political pressure and other side threats, and therefore the use of international investigators will put points on the letters on corruption files.

He said the parliament will discuss the results of the work of international investigators through a detailed report prepared by the parliamentary committee, which will control and follow-up to the tireless work of the international inspectors, and will be presented to the House of Representatives in the new chapter sessions.
