The governor of Kirkuk, Najm al- Din Karim, on Monday, December 5, 2016 that the Iraqi government did not comply with the Constitution with regard to sending the financial dues of the province, pointing out that the Kurdistan Regional Government is sending $ 10 million to Kirkuk month.

Karim said during a speech in the gas and the Kurdistan Region Oil Conference, held in London, that he "must be dealt with Kirkuk in a special way because of the sensitivity of the situation there", saying that "the security forces had foiled an attack by Daesh to maintain participated in the execution of more than 100 militants."

He added that "the international community has a great responsibility in protecting the security of the Kurdistan region," stressing that "the international community did not provide adequate support for the Peshmerga forces."

He continued: "I do not understand why they are not yet restored Hawija, which gathered the terrorist groups and taken a springboard to the threat of Kirkuk and the Kurdistan Region's security", saying that "deep differences between the components will float to the surface after the end of the war against Daesh."

Karim stressed on the necessity of "that there is coordination between Baghdad and Erbil," and expressed hope that the cooperation between the two sides in the battle of Mosul against one enemy beginning to reach an agreement.

And the governor of Kirkuk, "The Iraqi government did not comply with the Constitution with regard to sending the financial dues of Kirkuk over the past years," noting that "the Kurdistan Regional Government is sending $ 10 million a month to Kirkuk."
